A design is a crochet pattern from the start: each piece is a list of rounds in standard US terms, such as 6 in a magic ring, then increases and decreases spread evenly. The designer makes every stitch of those rounds, lets the yarn, the stuffing and gravity settle the toy in 3D, and writes the pattern round by round with stitch counts, colour changes, safety eyes and how to sew the pieces together.

No. Start from an animal such as the standing bunny, the penguin or the frog, and change it with its sliders. Click a stitch to add a round, paint it, put a safety eye there or sew on an ear, an arm or a tail. There are no vertices, meshes or cameras to learn.

Closely. The preview is the pattern itself, worked stitch by stitch and stuffed, so its shape and finished size follow the counts you will crochet. Your yarn, tension and how firmly you stuff change the finished piece a little, as with any pattern.

Yes. Starters include a car, a cottage and a donut, and any piece can be described by its size: ball 7cm, egg 6cm 8cm, tube 3cm 6cm, cone 4cm 6cm or disc 5cm. Legs can be joined into one body, as standing toys are made, and an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude can write the pattern code for you.

Single crochet, increases and decreases for most shapes, with half double and double crochet, back and front loops and chains where a design uses them. The written pattern and the PDF come in 17 pattern languages, including US and UK terms in English.

Yes. Choose the yarn weight and the finished size is worked out in centimetres. Shapes described by their size keep their size and get new counts for another yarn. Crochet a sample to check your tension.

Yes. The Paint tool colours a whole round, everything from a round on, or a few stitches, and the written pattern shows each colour change.
